Nebulistic Stays Perfect, Rules in DMR Debutante Win

At least the Green Card handed out the exacta in this one, and it was a full field of young fillies finishing in a stampede.  Only nine lengths covered the field in Saturday’s DMR Debutante (GI) in the waning hours of the DMR Meet.  When the dust settled, Barcelona Farms took home the lion’s share as Nebulistic stayed a perfect four for four, winning by two at hard to believe 6/1 odds.  That is her third consecutive stakes score, and first graded win.  She stopped the timer in 1:21.65 for the seven furlongs, a new stakes record, and the main DMR oval was listed as Fast.  Rabbit Bay kept her string of on-the-board finishes going, setting the early pace, but settling for the runner-up spot.  Temperature ran a big race, as I thought she would, nosing out Nadelle for the third spot.  Post time favorite Ignore Tucker was fifth.

Nebulistic is a 2yo chestnut filly by East Shore Road – Hedy, by Donegal Commander, and she was bred in Cal by her owner, Barcelona Farms.  As mentioned, she remains undefeated, winning all four of her starts, three of those stakes races, and she now shows earnings of $330.900.  Congrats to the Connections!

Nebulistic mid-pack early while racing between foes, let out a notch into the turn moving quickly 3p, up to engage leader nearing the furlong marker, pulled away as much the best.  Rabbit Bay early speed duel with foe, disposed of that one into the far turn opening a lead into the lane, collared by foe nearing the furlong marker, second best.  Temperature stalked the lead 4p to the far turn, moved wider into the lane, no excuse.  Nadelle raced mid-pack unhurried, fanned widest for the drive, just missed the show in a good effort.  Ignore Tucker saved ground stocking the pace, moved to 2p for the drive, evenly late.  Your Demise well back, passed tiring rivals.  Double Dragon evenly while no factor.  Our Sis was not a factor.  Berry Chai dueled with foe for the early lead, lost ground into the far turn, tired.  Sioux Gathering was outrun.  Be Patient was outrun.  Super Bella was outrun.
