Nine Line Up for Eight Belles

May 1st, The three year old fillies take the stage in the G2 Eight Belles stakes going 7 furlongs for $300.000

1. Emerald Delight trained by South Beach Racing: Coming out of a state bred maiden breaking score at Gulfstream Park, covered the 3/4 of a mile in 1:09 and change. Makes her first stakes start here.

2. Simple Truths trained by Mb Stables: Just missed in the Beaumont last out but will be very competitive in this race here. Not a whole lot of speed in this race so she could be a lot closer to the pace today.

3. Never Forgotten trained by Jive Inc.: Off the board in her last two performances but shortening back down to 7/8 where she is a perfect 2 for 2 at the distance.

4. Leing Fu trained by Rock Creek: Also off the board in her last two starts she is cutting in distance and class. A class drop going two turns may be the key but we will see what she can do at this distance.

5. Zealous Kruz trained by Estero Farms: Comes off a disapointing effort in a G3 going a mile and a sixteenth but cutting back in distance should help this horse a lot.

6. Threat Unknown trained by Mb Stables: Is most likely the speed of the race. Last out she left on top and never looked back while setting very quick fractions. Finishing the overnight stake in 1:22 flat. This filly shakes loose on the lead again she could be a tough one to run down.

7. Miss Talmadge trained by John Henry: Was on the Kentucky Oaks trail all spring but just simply was not quite good enough. Always was close but maybe with a shortening in distance this filly can have a break through race.

8. Crazy Love trained by Night Rider Stables: Coming off an OCLM 30, this filly will simply need to be better as she is facing much stiffer competition than she ever has.

9. Data Overload trained by Mb Stables: Cutting back in distance she showed a lot of speed going 7/8 her last trip where she was a winner but this race is much tougher. She will have to overcome the outside hole in this field of 9

Goodluck To All!
