1 1/16th Dirt Stakes Purse $175.000 Four Year Olds and Up

1 – Rajivs Roadblock – Trained by Night Rider Stables, Ridden by Campbell J M

The 2017 edition of the Eclipse played out almost exactly the way it looked like it would on paper. Roadblock was looking to be off the pace and make a move late and that is exactly what happened. He was shuffled back to the back of the pack early on but was able to use his late speed to chase down Resolute Jesse down the stretch and pull away to a two length victory in the end.

2 – Resolute Jesse – Trained by Mb Stables, Ridden by Garcia Alan

Mb Stables still had a nice day despite the lose as they were able to round out the top three with their two runners. Resolute Jesse hoped he would be able to out kick Rajivs Roadblock down the stretch but wasn’t able to keep pace down the stretch.

3 – Final Tune – Trained by Mb Stables, Ridden by Contreras L

Final Tune sat mid pack much of the race and wasn’t able to come up with much of a kick when he needed it the most. The top two finishers flew by as they turned for home and Contreras couldn’t find that extra gear he needed. He was able to hold his pace though and pass the slowing front runners to finish a very respectable third in a nice field
