Non Lo So Up Late to Take Skipat Stakes

5/15/2015  Post Time 3:30pm

RACE 8 PIM    The Skipat Stakes

$100.000   3yo&Up  F&M    6f    Dirt

Non Lo So is about as hot as you can ask a horse to be… the GlueFactory trained 3yo filly had three wins in a row before a second place finish in a stakes up north-of-the-border. Well, you don’t have to worry about the stakes win now – she sat behind the early pace, kicked into gear when asked and took The Skipat Stakes by a length in a final time of 1:09.44 in the initial running of the 6f stakes, here at HRP.  Indiana Sunstar was second with post time favorite Euneirophrenia in third.

**Better late than never… and I have no clue how I missed this, but my apologies to all entrants for the delay in this recap.

Away from the gate, Indiana Sunstar away quickest of all, Miss Sunderstood from the far outside, Non Lo So broke alertly. Euneirophrenia in behind that trio and Sabers Chick the early trailer from the rail.

Making their way down the backside, a half of a mile to run, Indiana Sunstar setting the pace and in front by two lengths.  Non So Lo, Miss Sunderstood together giving chase, then a long gap of four back to Euneirophrenia and Sabers Chick a length off of that one, seven lengths from the leader.

Around the far turn and to the top of the lane, they flew past the three-sixteenths pole and this was a two horse race.  Indiana Sunstar’s lead was now down to three-quarters of a length as Non Lo So was flying up to engage that one.  Then a gap of five by to Euneirophrenia, Miss Sunderstood on her inside and Sabers Chick two more back, still trailing the field.

Inside the final sixteenth and to the finish, Non So Lo just went right on by Indiana Sunstar and took command.  Euneirophrenia was closing late, but this was all about Non So Lo and she went under the wire in front by a length.  Indiana Sunstar held off the late charge of Euneirophrenia for the place, then Sabers Chick another length back in fourth and a gap back to Miss Sunderstood in last.

Non So Lo is a 3yo black filly by Iron Knowledge – Boulogne Sur Mer, by HRP-Double Honor, and she was bred by her owner, GlueFacotry, in KY.  This was her fourth win from seven lifetime starts and she now shows $154.56 in earnings.  This was her first stakes win.  Congrats to GlueFactory and Non So Lo.
