I’m a meat-head for not seeing this one right…  All In The Family certainly was a hit on Sunday!  Sitting back off of the early pace, the black filly rolled down the lane taking the Spring Fever Stakes by a half-length in a final time of 1:093 for the six furlong dash, contested on the SoCal main track.  MizEvil Five Phooey was close-up throughout and took the second spot with post-time favorite Off The Table closing ground late in third.

The nine combatants were away from the gate with Oneida flashing speed from the outside, Churro chasing that one, Laffin At Ya with good early speed, All In The Family next to that one and Miz Evil Five Phooey from the rail.  Queen Commander just in behind that one, Golden Tricks next to her, Summerland and Off The Table was the early trailer.

Moving down the backside, nearing the far turn with three and a half furlongs to run, Oneida skipped off to a two length advantage.  Laffin At Ya trying to not let that one get too big of a lead, Miz Evil Five Phooey to her inside, Churro was next, All In The Family racing mid-pack and three wide, Queen Commander on the rail, Summerland three wide, Golden Tricks between horses and Off The Table was off the screen and trailing.

Around the turn and into the lane with a bit more than a furlong to run and Oneida continued to show the way by a length and a half but the three-some of Miz Evil Five Phooey, Laffin At Ya between horses and All In The Family down the outside were gaining quickly.  Churro was just in behind that trio, Queen Commander still saving ground, Summerland, Gold Tricks and Off The Table all had a lot of work to do and a furlong to get it done.

Deep stretch and to the wire, there was no containing All In The Family as the black filly went clear from the outside and took the win by a half length.  Miz Evil Five Phooey was game til the end but settled for the place while Off The Table came from out of the clouds down the far outside to gain the third spot.  Churro was fourth, pace setter Oneida ended up fifth, Laffin At Ya was sixth, Summerland seventh, Queen Commander in eighth and Gold Tricks was ninth.

All In The Family mid-pack early, steady gain, full of run three wide, kicked clear late.  Miz Evil Five Phooey close up early, even terms with the leader in the lane, could not contain the winner.  Off The Table trailed while under wraps, responded when asked,
full of run late.  Churro raced mid-pack, clear chance, out-kicked.  Oneida broke alertly
setting the pace, nothing left for the drive. Laffin At Ya contested the early pace, tired from those efforts. Summerland was outrun. Queen Commander was outrun.  Golden Tricks was never a factor.
