7 DMR Arnaz Stakes
$100.000 2yoF 7f Dirt 120lbs +penalties
Williams9’s Blooming Flowers bounced back from a poor performance against graded horses to take Saturday’s Arnaz Stakes at DMR, as the bay filly traveled the seven panels in 1:22.51 and went under the wire clear by a length. Back Seat Heat, sent off as the overwhelming .25/1 post time favorite was close-up throughout the main track stakes, but had to settle for the second spot, a length in front of Mystic Rhythm. It was a nose back to Glip Glop in fourth and Unsuited Bop was last in the field of five.
Blooming Flowers is a 2yo bay filly by Twin Towers – Sketch The Way, by Point The Way, and she was bred by her owner Williams9 in BC. This was her second win from five starts, her first stakes score and she now has earnings of $87.880. Congrats to the connections!

Blooming Flowers broke in hand, taken back off of the pace, steady gain through the far turn, fanned widest for the drive, moved up to take over just inside the furlong marker, pulling away late. Back Seat Heat tracked the pace, up to contend with an eighth to run, could not hold off winner, settled. Mystic Rhythm sent from the gate to set the pace to inside the final furlong, headed, flattened out. Glip Glop raced mid-pack throughout, no excuse. Unsuited Bop was outrun.
