1st   On Deck                  Night Rider Stables  Juarez A J Jr

This stable really knows how to find older horses who improve late in their career so it shouldn’t have surprised me to see this one come home late for a famous quarter length win. But it did.
Not the best worker, not the best drawn, no graded stakes form but at HRP that doesnt seem to matter and it certainly didnt bother this six year old today who has gone from claimer to grade one winner this year. He will go down as a shock winner of this race but he is in sparkling form at the moment and its great to see the older horses beating the three year olds.

2nd   Worst Case Scenario  Mb Stables               Campbell J M

Stalked the lead and kept on well for second but had no answer for On Decks late finish inside the final furlong. Its hard to place this one amongst the dirt routing ranks but this was a very good effort and he is clearly back to his early season best.

3rd   Fox News                D J C Racing Stables  Lanerie C J

Did very well for a horse that has excelled over shorter than this running on well to be beaten just a length into third. The BC Mile looks nailed on for him should his trainer choose to go for that race.

4th   Tekkers                Maxmillion Farm                Baze T C

Propelled to the lead by the wide gate speed push he was still there with a  furlong to run and went down fighting beaten just a length into fourth.
