Out On A Limb Wins Sloppy Edition of The Toboggan

The Toboggan – GIII
AQU Race 2 7F – Dirt
Purse $100.000
Four Year Olds and Up

1st Out On A Limb, trained by Smokey Stover

A big run from this horse right here in these sloppy conditions for sure and it seemed like he also liked the cut back in distance pretty good also. He splashed through this sloppy surface with no problem and came with a nice closing run to win. He ran the race in 1:26.00 and earned $60.000 for his win.

2nd Moving Cloud, RNP Stables

Well it looks to me that the way the track was playing in this race is that the horses who came from off the pace ran very well compared to the speed horses. This horse came from a decent ways back and so did the winner so obviously the speed didn’t hold that good. This horse ran a very big race to get second.

3rd Growley, trained by Greeko Holdem

This horse right here ended up being the speed of the speed from that outside gate as he was making all the running early on while carving out the fractions. He actually ran very good for being on the lead and for being on this track so I don’t think there was anything wrong with his performance at all.

4th Steel Tunes, trained by John Henry

This horse was also very close to that early pace but he was just a length off of it. He did hit the lead for just a tiny bit but that wasn’t long enough to really give him a chance to win. He did not run a bad race at all I don’t think and he actually only ended up getting beat by a length when it was all said and done.

Summary

Another very exciting race from this weekend and even though it was dampened by the off track the race was still a good and exciting one. The winner was Out On A Limb who liked this off going for sure and seemed to enjoy the cutback in distance for this race. Congratulations to Out On A Limb and Estero Farms.
