Someone check to see if Max is breathing yet…  after setting the pace throughout Sunday’s Buffalo Trace Franklin County (GIII), it took a photo to prove that Hollywood Babe hung for the win, but, in fact she did.  Lady Of Lord made it about as close as she could, but had to settle for the second spot after closing fast in the five and a half furlong turf stakes.  It was a length back to Antares in third and another length to Ace Queen in fourth.  The final running time was 1:021 and five lengths covered the field.

Hollywood Babe is a 3yo chestnut filly by Hollywood Freak – Search And Destroy, by Inspector Jacques, and she was bred by LionKing Stables in Cal.  This was her seventh win from nine starts and give her a five race win streak.  Maxmillion Farm acquired her prior to her racing career, nabbing her for $20.000 via private purchase.  She now shows $856.14 in lifetime earnings.  Congrats to the Connections!

Hollywood Babe broke alertly, setting the pace from the rail, drifted to 3p for the run down the lane, held off foe late.  Lady Of Lord broke mid-pace racing 3p, moved to 5p around the turn, closed determinedly, just miss in a game effort.  Antares tracked the pace from an inside position, could not go on with top pair.  Ace Queen rated back 3p, good late effort.  Data Overload raced evenly throughout.  The Great Enabler tracked the pace 2p, moved to 4p for the drive, no further response.  Ms Joyce was not a factor.  Tequa tracked pace 3p, tired.  Trippi Sprinkle was not involved.  Loco Motion was not involved.
