Well this horse certainly had the form to win this but the wide draw was always going to be a challenge. Rather than trying to figure out that challenge the owner put this one on horse lead and left it up to the AI Gods to choose and low and behold they came through. Normally an on pacer she was taken way back into the trail as others stuck to their dry tack instructions and set a strong pace. Flying through wide like so many do these days she picked off the field and won by just under a length. The job now will be to try and get some points for the BC Turf.

Like the winner her owner chose the right tactic whatever that was and this tough four year old chased home Pink Kitten for the third time in her career.

3rd Ewa Beach Smokey Stover Castellano J J

After winning her last three from near the front she again followed that tactic but the slightly off track found her out and she faltered in the final furlong. This admirably consistent filly has yet to place outside the top three in all her 13 starts.

4th Forever Blue Mb Stables Davis D

Chose to come from the back like the first two but didn’t get the best of runs and couldn’t finish as well when required. She was only beaten a length though so its hard to say she was disappointing.
