Purse $250.000  For Three Year Olds And Upward.

1 Macht Nichts, trained by Eastern Equine
Ever since winning the Front Runner at Grade One as a two year old this colt has been pitched
in against the very best. A winner of The El Camino on his reappearence as a three year
old he immeditely went into the KYD reckoning but after being beaten a length into sixth
in the AR Derby he failed to qualify and was given a mid summer break. He reapperaed in the
LA Derby where he ran well enough and was quietly fancied for the Travers in his last start.
Drawn 13 he was sent up into the stalk early but faded late into seventh beaten 3 lengths.
This is a nearly horse of the first degree, never beaten far by the very best but also never
able to find that race winning turn of foot at the end. From a much beter draw today i can see
him running a big race.

2 Galvaston, trained by Hay Makers Inc
The only older horse in the field it looks like the HRP population have cottoned on to the
fact that the three year old late season boost has them at a disadvantage. This one is
rather typical of the late bloomers we have seen this year winning a five dollar claimer
as a five year old and then turning that into graded stakes success as a six year old.
He has been up front and game in his last three which included a win in the grade three
Iselin Stakes, a third in the Awesome Again and an excellent second in the Fayette last time
out. 4 months ago he would have won this race hands down but the weight allowance for three’s
and the late season boost they have got may just see him consigned to a place getter today.

3 Have A Seat, trained by Mb Stables
Won four overnights on the trot before being tested in graded class and in his two efforts so
far he has certainly proved he is up to it. A game third beaten under a length in the PA Derby
was followed last time out by another game effort in the Fayette where he was beaten a length
by Galveston when finishing third. Tactics will play their part in this race and there is no
better than his trainer at getting that right but on bare form he looks a tick off them.

4 Port On The Horizon, trained by D J C Racing Stables
On paper this should be a walk in for the BC Classic runner up. All season he has been at the
top of his generation with a win in the Wood Memorial that sent him to the KYD a very live hope.
He ran a cracker in the KYD finishing fifth beaten a length from a horror draw and was strongly
fancied for The BEL before dissapointing a little in finishing fifth. After those two runs he
didnt go for a break like some and quickly founds amends with a storming win in the LA Derby.
After another average run in the Haskell he came out and won the PA Derby before that excellent
run in the BC Classic. Any reproduction of his best will see him winning today but he can put
in an average run so you have to take that into account.

5 Flying Warrior, trained by Axeman
This one has shown plenty of improvement this autumn after a summer campaign that saw him competing
in the overnight ranks. A win in the ONT Derby and then another last time out in the
Empire Classic suggested he was one of those three year olds that got plenty of the magic Autumn dust
and today will really answer the questions as to how much he has improved. His works are pretty
good so it wouldnt be a surprise but i dont see a scenarion where he can beat Port On The Horizon.

SUMMARY

This race looks at the mercy of Port On The Horizon and it would take a poor performance from him to see
anything else winning.
