–Private Money from Winning Link Stables had the lead for only a split-second Sunday evening, but he picked the right time to get it, as he lunged right on the wire to nail People Batty from Night Rider Stables for the big win. Congrats to the winning connections. Obviously, it goes without saying that the big equipment change worked. Nice win! People Batty, our top pick, did everything but win the race in a real gutsy performance. Firing Squad from TwinTowersRacing cut out all the fractions and came up just a tad short of going gate to wire in a solid performance. Apirana from Mb Stables broke fourth and stayed there the entire trip. For a minute, turning for home, it looked like the race was going to unfold perfectly at crunch time for him, but Apirina just couldn’t gain the surge needed to score today as the heavy public choice.

Of The Rest:

Painted Ice from Alydar Stables chased the whole way but was unable to produce the needed kick to better his fifth-place position.

Mankayia from Delta Farms dropped back as expected but was unable to build upon his strong last race and only beat one home tonight after getting a touch too far back the way the race unfolded.

Daring Ned from The Sidley Stud looked to be up against it on paper and ran like a horse tonight either in need of a rest or in need of lesser foes. Nothing to report from the vets list at this time.
