A little shout out to Sanny Village with this win as his real life horse was named this also. She finally got another graded stakes win in here and she won impressively by a half length. She ran the distance in a time of 1:48.64 and earned $120.000 for the win.
2nd Nice Tactical Speed, trained by Maxmillion Farm
Well she finally came back around and ran a big race here and she closed nicely to get up for second. She was near last early and then made a good run down the lane and was still coming at the end of the race. She ran very good to run second.
3rd Down And Out, trained by Mb Stables
This filly looked like she had a chance to win this race at the eighth pole but she could just not hold off the top two runners. She sat in a good spot the whole way and she hit the front in deep stretch but she could just not hold off the charges off the top two.
4th Smile In Victory, trained by Team 7 Illusions
This filly here was just unlucky to wind up on the lead as she had to do all of the hard work on the lead. She set a good pace and she still was fighting the whole way down the stretch but she just did not have enough left in the tank.
Summary
Another graded stakes score right here for Pumpernickel Basil as she went ahead and took this year’s Shuvee Handicap. She ran a very good and I did have her picked to win so she made me look good :). Congratulations to Pumpernickel Basil and D J C Racing Stables.
