Quantum Pursuit controlled the Haskell from the opening call and never surrendered the advantage, carrying Santana R Jr and Mb Stables to a one-length victory at odds of 4-1. The three-year-old completed the 1 1/8 miles in 1:47.55 and secured an important Grade I victory in this Breeders’ Cup points race.

The Grade I Haskell was contested on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Monmouth Park over 1 1/8 miles on a fast dirt track. The nine-horse field competed for a purse of $1,000.000, with Quantum Pursuit defeating Gogh Wild, Hurts, Cherokee Monster, Knowing Spirit, Starbright, Final World Gullis, Weaponize, and Long Ride.
Quantum Pursuit broke promptly and established a narrow advantage through the opening quarter in :47.1. He continued to dictate the race through six furlongs in 1:11.1, widened his control entering the final stage, and reached the mile in 1:35.1 with Gogh Wild still giving chase. Santana R Jr kept Quantum Pursuit focused through the finish, and the Mb Stables runner completed the race in 1:47.55.
Gogh Wild followed Quantum Pursuit throughout the race and remained his nearest challenger, but he could not reduce the winner’s advantage during the final drive. Hurts advanced from fifth to third and finished another three-quarters of a length behind Gogh Wild. Cherokee Monster produced the strongest mid-race improvement from farther back, moving from ninth to fourth before completing the order behind the leading trio.
The victory gave owner and trainer Mb Stables its first Haskell success in HRP’s stakes history.

Quantum Pursuit took command immediately, leading by a neck at the first call. Gogh Wild settled directly behind him in second, Long Ride held third, Starbright was fourth, and Hurts raced fifth. Knowing Spirit followed in sixth, Weaponize was seventh, Final World Gullis eighth, and Cherokee Monster trailed the field.
At the second call, Quantum Pursuit increased his advantage to one-half length while Gogh Wild continued in pursuit. Long Ride remained third, Hurts improved to fourth, and Starbright slipped to fifth. Knowing Spirit stayed sixth, Weaponize held seventh, Cherokee Monster advanced to eighth, and Final World Gullis dropped to ninth.
Quantum Pursuit maintained a clear lead at the third call. Gogh Wild remained second, Hurts continued his advance into third, and Cherokee Monster made a notable move from eighth to fourth. Knowing Spirit improved to fifth, Long Ride retreated to sixth, Starbright was seventh, Weaponize eighth, and Final World Gullis ninth.
Through the final stage, Quantum Pursuit sustained his advantage and completed the victory. Gogh Wild held second, Hurts retained third, and Cherokee Monster finished fourth after making the largest positional gain in the field. Knowing Spirit remained fifth, followed by Starbright, Final World Gullis, Weaponize, and Long Ride.
