Rainy Day Woman Shines in South Ocean Stakes

 South Ocean Stakes
1 1/16 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $125.000 Filly 2 Year Olds Foaled In ON.

1st Rainy Day Woman, trained by John Henry
Went to the front from the gate and was always in control coming home unchallenged by a length. This was a nice win for the consistent filly who deserved to pick up one of these statebred stakes after placing a couple of times previously.

2nd Harsh, trained by Mb Stables
Made up ground after letting the leaders get away a bit but never got any closer than the length she was beaten. Another decent effort and she continues gradual improvement.

3rd Hyptonight, trained by Pan Farms
Trailed the field and made ground for third but was beaten a fair way and never looked like bothering the first two.

4th Young Poppy, trained by Threshold
Remains a maiden and has been doing the opposite of improving since her neck second in the Breeders Stakes back in July.
