Rampage Says Mucho Gracias as They Take Colors

Colors – Grade III
6 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $100.000 Filly & Mare 3 Year Olds And Up.

1st Mucho Gracias Rampage Stable Geroux F

It was pretty obvious a three year old win the race but i must admit to being a little surprised at which one did in the end. This very consistent filly was having her first taste of graded stakes racing and did it very nicely in a time that shows enough improvement to suggest there is more in the locker. The trainer is sure to have plenty more fun with this one especially as the three’s start to dominate older horses.

2nd Two Grins Estero Farms Gaffalione T

Started well, taken back a little then came again at the end but never got a decent shot at the win. She looked a better filly on paper than the winner but the wide draw wouldnt have helped her tactics and she had to settle for her fourth graded stakes placing of the year so far. She must pick up one of these races sooner or later.

3rd Unprecedented South Beach Racing Bridgmohan S X

Proved her run in the Eight Belles was no fluke by looking the winner a furlong out but weakening a little into third. She may be a little better on an off track but ran nicely enough to suggest this was a good recent purchase.

4th Fifi Trixiebell First Street Stables Court J K

Drew the ‘leader’ ticket and inevitably paid the price weakening into a share for fourth. Not a bad effort considering and i am sure there is more to come from her.

4th Cocoa Nut Team 7 Illusions Beschizza A

Kept on well at the end to share fourth she was beaten two lengths giving weight to the three’s. i think that says it all.
