Ranger Wins Impressively in The Pasco

The Pasco Stakes – NG
TAM Race 7 7F – Dirt
Purse $125.000
Three Year Olds

1st Ranger, trained by Aer Stables

A very big run from the horse right here and he won this race pretty dang impressively. In the early stages he was back about mid pack but then he started to turn on the jets and he sure came flying down the stretch to end up winning by a length. He ran the distance in 1:21.70 and earned $75.000 for the win.

2nd Pal O Mine (8-2-3-1 $125.560), trained by Barcelona Farms

Well for the second race in a row this horse has been second in a stakes race here at Tampa Bay. He came with very good closing kick after being pretty far back early in the race. He came with a good run late but it just wasn’t enough to get there and he ended up getting beat by a length. He will win one of these stakes eventually.

3rd Made Out Of Glass, trained by Mb Stables

I thought before this race that this horse might have a shot even though he is pretty lightly raced and I was sort of right I guess. He ran a pretty solid race to get third after being up near the pace early on in the race. He even made the lead for a second but ended up fading to third in late stages of the race.

4th Table Rock, trained by John Henry

This horse seemed to have maybe made a step in the right direction towards his stakes winning races earlier last year in this spot because he actually hit the board in here unlike his last two. He made a decent run in here for sure and he only ended up getting beat by two lengths so he did not run that bad at all.

Summary

Well this was a pretty good race for sure and the winner showed that he is serious horse that might be ready to step up into the triple crown prep races now. He ran a very good race and won pretty handily. He is a promising looking horse for sure and should look move on to bigger things. Congratulations to Ranger and Aer Stables.
