Alcibiades (Grade 1)- $650.00 Purse
KEE- For Fillies Two Years Old
One Mile and One Sixteenth on the Dirt
October 2, 2026

Friday’s exciting action at KEE will continue with the 23rd running of the Grade 1 Alcibiades, and it will have another ticket to the BC available for it’s winner. A field of eleven have chosen to take part, looking to be sent on their way to the BC Juvenile Fillies. The secondary prize isn’t too bad either, as $650.00 is on the line to be split among its top finishers. That amount, which was seen for the first time last year, is a high for the race. Speaking of last year, it was Luz International’s Unfinished Symphony finishing the job and winning by a length. She would be a non factor in the BC Juvenile Fillies, and while she has not won since, she is on a streak of three seconds in a row at the stake level. Here are our runners!

1- Teraset (Winning Link Stables, ridden by B Curtis)- One of three horses in the field that comes here out of the Spinaway. It was not a pleasant experience for Teraset, as she was unable to get anything going after finishing in the tenth spot. Prior to that, the results were strong and consistent, running third in the $250.000 ELP Debutante, a race that also featured some of Friday’s rivals. Could be an interesting option at the betting window if those odds climb, because it’s reasonable to think the Spinaway is a throw out.

2- Whispering Pines (Mb Stables, ridden by J R Velazquez)- She was also at the Spinaway, but where it’s one to forget for Teraset, the race was a dream for Whispering Pines. She would stalk the pace early on, and showed her ability in the final moments, getting up to win by half of length. Just prior to that, she had her own tenth place finish in the Adirondack, which is why Teraset fans should have optimism. For Whispering Pines, she’s won 3 of 5 and is already at $416.00 in earnings for her career.

3- Taurasi (D J C Racing Stables, ridden by F Pennington)- This will be the first time Taurasi runs outside of NY, as she has been in statebreds exclusively to this point. They have gone well, breaking her maiden at FL before heading east to the Spa and placing third in the $200.00 Seeking The Ante. Still has something to prove against the unrestricted crowd, but in looking at her works, she’ll be able to accomplish that.

4- Retrograde Amnesia (Serenity Stables, ridden by P Lopez)- Off to a great start for her career, winning two of her four starts thus far. In July, she would officially break her maiden at DMR, and that would become the site of her big win a month later. That’s where she would run in the Grade 1 DMR Debutante, where she came from near the back of the field to get the win following an impressive stretch performance. This gives us a showdown between the Spinaway and DMR Debutante winners, adding to the appeal of an already well anticipated race.

5- Dance Dance Dance (Mb Stables, ridden by L Saez)- The last time she was able to show her moves was at MTH about five weeks ago, where she was second in the $100.00 Sorority Stakes. She jumped out on the lead in that one, so it’s possible that we see the same from her again here. Dance Dance Dance does just have a maiden win out of her four starts thus far, but she also never has a bad race, and her works are as good as anyone here.

6- Satou (Royalty Stables, ridden by R L Moore)- Making the jump into stakes competition after running fourth in an allowance at SAR in late August. In the race, she demonstrated a strong closing kick that would make her sire, Baffert, proud, at seven furlongs. If she’s just been waiting to run longer to put that kick on display even more, she’s getting quite an opportunity to show it now.

7- Hyperpolarize (Mb Stables, ridden by R Santana Jr)- Makes her debut for Mb Stables here in the Alicbiades after she was purchased in the auction a couple weeks ago for $51.01. In her prior barn, she made two starts, winning in early April before resting up until July’s $125.00 My Dear Stakes at WO. She was a wire to wire fourth in that, two lengths behind the winner. All of her works look good, so should be competitive.

8- Doubtville Gal (TwinTowersRacing, ridden by S X Bridgmohan)- The only horse in this field that took on Retrograde Amnesia in the DMR Debutante last month. They ran together near the back of the field early on, and while Doubtville Gal’s stretch run was stronger, the Spankersville filly also worked her way though the field and finished fourth. Prior to that, she ran second to her stablemate, Taxation Is Theft, in the $250.00 ELP Debutante.

9- Taxation Is Theft (TwinTowersRacing, ridden by R M Hernandez)- Right on cue, Taxation Is Theft will be the next one to load into the gate as she looks to follow up her ELP Debutante victory. Like her stablemate, she went to a Grade 1 afterwards, but took the trip to SAR to run in the Spinaway. In that, she ran in the middle of the field, fifth, while being on the lead early on. The Spinaway saw a competitive finish being quite a few, so that result is better than it may appear.

10- Minnesota Ava (The Sidley Stud, ridden by A Beschizza)- It took a little while for the trainer to believe in Minnesota Ava in the way that he does now. When the filly broke her maiden, it was in her third start, and it came at FP, one race after she ran at the free track. A month after her first win, she backed it up with another at FE, and it would be following that where we saw her jumped in class. Ran in the Sorority Stakes at MTH and was edged out in a photo for place Dance Dance Dance. Now, she’s in the spotlight in one of the biggest races she could possibly be a part of. Works show a lot of improvement between early July and now.

11- Grand And Lucky (Greyhound, ridden by F T Alvarado)- Perhaps, Grand And Lucky could have been Jessamine bound, since she last run in the Natalma, and we saw several runners from that race enter into the Jessamine. Grand And Lucky was fourth there, and heads back to the main track, where she has another strong fourth place run: the Grade 3 Adirondack at SAR. Wish I could see more than the three lifetime public works, and only one since May. Since I can see that with her rivals, I can’t have as much confidence in her to include her in my picks.

Prediction: 4-2-8-9
