It was great to see these older fillies and and mares without some three year old claimer coming out of the woodwork to spoil the party. BC Sprint third Royal Kunia stalked the blistering pace and pulled away for an impressive win recording and eleventh win from seventeen starts.
Her record is great and whilst there may not be a BC win in her future today was her day to shine and she did so beautifully. It will be great to see her matching up with the stables top sires in the future but for now she is a long way from finished.

2nd Four Left Feet Mb Stables Lezcano J

She was close enough if good enough from the perfect draw but could not match the winner in the end. It will be great to see these two square off again but one feels that if ever she was going to beat Royal Kunia it would be today so she may have to try and avoid the filly in the future if she is going to make it to the BC.

3rd Coastal Flower Nolespan Racing Garcia Mar

The stable is having a huge season and this mare who they from dirt sprints for just $12.50 got her third cheque in a row in black type company. She was out matched by the first two but this finish will have thrilled the trainer again and she looks destined to become one of the best claims of the year.

4th Forever Blue Mb Stables Beschizza A

Ran well although she was beaten fair and square by the first two home. Beaten a neck when second in this race last year they went much faster today so she still did well to finish where she did.
