Ruby Jaws, a 3yo daughter of Crossing The Rubicon, claimed her third stakes win of 2021 on Sunday at a rain-soaked SAR.  The Arindel filly was always near the front before utilizing a middle of the track move to wear-down the Mb Stables filly Twisted Express in the final 100 yards to take home the $120.000 Coronation Cup.

The 1-2 finishers raced together just off of the pace set by Carrie Ann through a quarter over the soft turf in :23.67.  Twisted Express raced down on the inside while Ruby Jaws was rated in the three path as the leader approached the turn.  When they hit the top of the lane, Twisted Express was in front by 1/2 length as Ruby Jaws was poised to pounce.  Three lengths behind them, Art Of Laughter, Marathon Of Hope, and Wake Up Brew were moving by a fading Carrie Ann.

Ruby Jaws put her nose in front of Twisted Express at the 1/8 pole and proceeded to increase her advantage to the wire.  The Mb Stables filly was a clear second while Art Of Laughter held of Marathon Of Hope for the show.  Wake Up Brew closed the distance, but had to settle for fifth.  With the win, the Arindel hombred Ruby Jaws improved her career record to 9-5-1-0 for earnings of $281.100.  The time for the 5.5 turf sprint was 1:05.85 over soft going.

Congratulations to Arindel and Ruby Jaws, for their victory in the 2021 $120.000 Coronation Cup!
