The IND Derby – GII
IND Race 2 1 1/16M – Dirt
Purse $500.000
Three Year Olds
1st Rumble, trained by D J C Racing Stables
Ah the old wizard D J C Racing Stables gets the big win in Indiana with his big horse Rumble. He repeated that Peter Pan performance where he won and ran a huge race to take home the money. He stalked the whole way and then pounced on them at the end. He ran it in 1:41.04 and earned $300.000 for the win.
2nd Di Farley, trained by Gdp Inc
This Gdp Inc gelding also ran a very big race and looked like a winner for a little bit. He stalked the pace and then struck the front only to be run down by the winner Rumble. He still ran one hell of a race and showed he is a very good racehorse. He will be tough next time he runs also I bet.
3rd Champion In Action, trained by Night Rider Stables
Another one who ran pretty well was this horse right here as he only got beat by three lengths when it was all said and done. It looks like the gelding back in February helped him out s whole lot because he has only ran one bad race so far. He ran a very good race and should be on the improve next time.
4th Corum Jhaelen Irsei, trained by Boomtown
Definitely not where I thought this horse would end up finishing as I thought he was the winner of the race honestly. He was a lot farther back than I wanted to see him but you cant really do anything about that after the race. I think he will be back better next time and hopefully stays closer to the pace.
Summary
Well Rumble ended up being the bust out winner in here and finally got a big race win under his belt. If he keeps improving like he has been I wouldn’t be surprised to see him later on in the year as one of the top players in a big race. Congratulations to the wizard D J C Racing Stables and Rumble on the win.
