1st Salar de Uyuni Mb Stables Husbands P

The first two in this race took up the perfect positions and managed to move everything out of the way to make their runs. This winner didnt have the easiest time shoving things out of the way and even as they passed the line i didnt think he had done it but the photo revealed the narrowest of wins for the son of Lettucerocku. He has always run like he will make a good router and at last thanks to the draw he was allowed to lay close enough to the front to make his late run and prevail. The gelding will go forward into the KYD draw lottery and another good draw will see him as a danger.

2nd Di Bug Night Rider Stables Maragh Ro

Managed to get a great position from his wide draw and that was nearly enough to see him win this race. You only have to look at his form to see how important race position is as all the times he has been disappointing he has been eased just too far back. This was a good effort because of the work he had to do to get his running position near the rail and he remains an outside chance in the Derby picture.

3rd Rainstorm Fractious Pimentel J

For me this was the best effort in the race by far. Wide all the way he was pushed wider and wider until people started moving cars from the car park to allow him room down the stretch. Still he kept running on and only failed by a half length in the end. What a difference a month makes at HRP, in his last race he was making all to win the San Vicente and here is is coming from behind to very nearly win the Gotham and whilst there is no rhyme or reason to most things at HRP he may be the one who carries my tip to the KYD.

4th Gun Down Mb Stables Alvarado J

Got a little bogged down on the rail but ran on nicely when clear to finish just a length off the winner. Who knows where that puts him in the KYD picture but he will have to go again to get into the race.
