The confusing BEL-at-AQU meet gets underway, and we look at the field for Sunday’s The Pebbles (GIII) going a flat mile on the inner turf surface, here at the Big A. I’m giving Pocono Life the slight edge to get the win here today…  she tired after setting the pace in the DMR Oaks (GI) but that was a tougher group that she sees today, and she’s been tough facing horses at this level, so she’s the one for me.  Stacysmomgotitgoinon is a horse that I really like, and I think she will run another big race today.  She also struggled last out, but I’m thinking that was a wet track that may have thrown her off… let’s see if she can rebound in a big way.  It’s a nice group, and I won’t be surprise by any outcome…

Claimed for just $5.000, she’s proven to be a true diamond in the rough as she’s won both starts for the new connections, including the Riskaverse at SAR last out.  She’s gone wire to wire in those two wins, so look for her to be winging it on the front end here, as well.

hShe’s one of those horses that owns me… she runs good when I ignore her, and not so well when I pick her, so… who do we get today.  She just missed in the Lake George (GIII) but tired to be seventh vs. NY-bred stakes company, both of those at SAR.  I like her here, so that’s probably bad.

Won the Hilltop then was second (DH) in the Tepin before that tough race in the DMR Oaks (GI) where she finished sixth.  That was a tough field at DMR, so draw a line through it and give her a big shot to bounce back today… I think she’s the one to beat.

Nice win in the Cincinnati but had a time of it when seventh in the ONT Colleen (GIII).  She’s run well at a level just below this, so she has some real ability, but will need her best to be in the picture late today.

Claimed for $14.000 earlier in the season and has two wins for the new connections including the Honeymoon Stakes (GIII) at SA.  She never got going in the BEL Oaks (GI), breaking last, trailing and passing a few late… can she bounce back today?

Two wins and two seconds at the Alw level since changing hands at the Mar Auction, where the got her for just $5.000, a heck of a bargain.  She steps up today, but if she can run back to her recent form, she may be tough and carry some decent odds.

Lightly raced, this being her seventh start, and she has three wins from her last four trips to the gate, so she’s getting the hang of this racehorse thing.  Back to back wins at PRX and ELP, both Alw races, this looks like the logical spot for her to go.

Looked good taking the Centennial Distaff Turf Mile at ELP last out, and that was back to back wins at that track for this one.  She’s won three of her last four and looks to put a graded race in her resume’ today.
