Horse Owner Odds SRF
Seven Is Lucky Mb Stables 9-5 103
Sioux Arrival High Voltage 8-1 103
Ello Santa Mb Stables *8-5 102
Extravagant Bigchief Stables 2-1 103
Brit Style Lemax Farms 5-2 102
Jakarta Nakamura Stables 3-1 98
Whoa Bo Maxmillion Farm 5-1 100
Prince Mbilini Winning Link Stables 6-1 98
Boy From Ipanema D J C Racing Stables 10-1 97
Malediction Nakamura Stables 10-1 96
Savaged TwinTowersRacing 20-1 92
Savaged doesn’t have much in the way of graded stakes race credentials, broke his maiden on his eighth race, well beaten in the Grade III American Stakes and third in a WO allowance. From there to this Grade II race.
2 Whoa Bo Maxmillion Farm 100
When you look at Whoa Bo’s form sheet, it looks impressive with mostly triple digit SRF’s. But when you look closely you realize it is from places with no wins for almost a year. It looks like the seven-year-old still has the fire in his belly to produce a few more wins, maybe not today but still.
3 Boy From Ipanema D J C Racing Stables 97
Lightly raced Boy From Ipanema was a minor stakes winner and graded stakes placed but never taken seriously and eventually sold by Emerald Racing Inc for $30.00 by claim to D J C Racing Stables who raced hi once in The Grade III Fort Marcy at AQU and did well enough to be here.
4 Brit Style Lemax Farms 102
Brit Style was fourth in the Shoemaker Mile stampede just a mistimed half-length off the winner, and that loss snapped a three-race win streak that was topped off by a win in the $350.00 Open Verse.
5 Sioux Arrival High Voltage 103
I’m sure Sioux Arrival is not this high on your handicap, but with a SRF 103 in defeat as favourite in the Grade I Shoemaker Mile at SA and the promise of lightning speed to trick the closers, I’m making him my longshot choice.
6 Ello Santa Mb Stables 102
Ello Santa was found out by the 1 1/8 miles of the Grade I Forester Turf. Prior to that, he won the Grade I Makers Mark Mile with a SRF of 103 and the Grade II Kilroe Mile with a SRF of 100. A record like this would rate top billing in any other race.
7 Jakarta Nakamura Stables 98 Winning Link Stables
After finishing fourth in the Grade I Makers Mark Mile, Jakarta won a pricey WO Allowance race. Although his SRF was only 98, I’ve seen time and again horses dig deeper when faced with higher competition and this old timer is just that sort. In running fourth in the Makers Mark Mile, he registered a SRF 103. At eight years old, this horse still posts a 1:34 1/5H turf mile.
8 Extravagant Bigchief Stables 103
Extravagant: third in the Shoemaker Mile photo which also got him also a SRF 103. So close… might ass well be called Extravagant is Unlucky. He has proven himself capable with that performance and other recent races like the Grade III American Stakes.
9 Seven Is Lucky Mb Stables 103
Seven Is Lucky comes here off back-to-back Grade I wins, the Forester Turf Classic at CD and the Shoemaker Mile at SA. Hard credentials to ignore in a stacked race like this.
10 Malediction Nakamura Stables 96
Lightly raced Malediction raced ten tries on the dirt and was fairly useful with a few stakes wins and a graded stakes place, but on his eleventh race, Nak tried him on the turf in a WO allowance race and he got a two-length romp. So, here he is. Sometimes these things turn out fairy tale, we’ll see.
11 Prince Mbilini Winning Link Stables 98
Prince Mbilini was picked at auction for $22.00 from Mb Stables and promptly fell in love with her new barn. Since he has joined Winning Link Stables, he is undefeated, winning both his starts. Consider his life has been nothing but allowance and claiming races and moving from stable to stable; Dan bought him twice… and gave up on him twice. He comes to this new stable and wins a TUP allowance race by such a wide margin that they entered him into the Grade III Arlington Stakes at CD and he won. There’s no telling what a horse like this can do.
