Things went pretty much to plan although this one had to do plenty of pushing and moving to launch her challenge. Somehow these horses from the top stables can find a route where others don’t, and she had to do that but, in the end, had plenty to spare at the end. Getting further back due to a stronger pace than she has been used to, she showed plenty of class and looks like yet another girl to grace Smokey’s harem.

2nd Mi Diamante Bears Stable Castillo I

Used the wide gate as expected and went to the front as expected. She actually lasted pretty well considering the strong pace and the extra weight she had to carry but as the winner swept by, the race had that air of inevitability about it. This was a strong sprinting effort though and she looks a god enough prospect for this sort of race.

Stalked the leader but when there is a strong pace the stalker is normally the first to weaken and that is what happened here. She held onto third but seems to lack that finish in the final furlong of her races at this level despite her consistency.

4th Entanglement D J C Racing Stables Worrie A S

Did OK to get fourth, and I feel that is about her mark in this sort of race. A fair effort and there is some improvement showing up.
