1st Sharp Suit, trained by Rampage Stable

Well this West Virginia bred filly finally showed how good she was once again as she finally got back around one turn with stakes competition. She ran a big race for sure and loved the muddy track as she pulled away by a quarter of a length. She ran the distance in 1:25.06 and earned $150.000 for the win.

2nd Evening Star, trained by Fractious

Another filly who also benefited greatly from the cutback to one turn right here as she closed from pretty far back to get up for second and she was still coming late. She seemed to like the mud and was rolling late and with another sixteenth of a mile I’m not sure she doesn’t get up for the win. A very good runner up finish.

3rd Blazing By, trained by Mb Stables

A very gallant third place finish by this filly and for a second I even though she might win it. At the eighth pole she was in front but in that last furlong she just could not hold off the top two finishers. She still ran a pretty good third though and did not run bad at all.

4th Unprecedented, trained by South Beach Racing

Well this filly ran a lot better than I thought she would to be honest as she at least got up to hit the board. She made a decent run from about midpack early on and she was closing on the end. She was only beaten a half length and she ran a pretty good fourth for sure.

Summary

Well I thought that the winning filly would benefit the one turn a lot and for once I was right. She is very good around one turn and she flew by the field go get the win in here. She is a good filly and should be tough later on down the road also. Congratulations to Sharp Suit and Rampage Stable.
