11 WO Woodstock Stakes
$125.000 3yo 6f Dirt 121lbs +penalties
You can tell spring has sprung as we go north of the border and catch a field of seven sprinting sophomores going six furlongs in the Woodstock Stakes. The Green Card says Coronado Beach is the one to get past, as the Alydar Stables’ trained gelding has been knocking on the door vs. stakes types, some of those races were graded/TC Trail tests. He closed quickly to be third in the Animal Kingdom at TP last out, and although slightly longer may be more to his liking, he does look tough in this spot. Keep Your Distance is the second choice on The Card, that one won an Alw race at AQU at today’s distance a few races back, and was third vs. NY-Bred stakes types two races back. This looks like a good spot for him to make some noise.
