Show Ya Oysters Can Show His Metal in Snow Chief

Snow Chief Stakes
  SA   Race #4   1 1/8m   Turf   Stake
Purse $200.000  For Three Year Olds Foaled In CA.

1 Western Ideal, trained by Night Mare Racing
A maiden winner at PRX in April he then ran just OK in The Sullivan Stakes. He is lightly
raced and well bred with some strong work times so a win is nt out of the question. The
one draw should be OK although he does get back a bit in his races and may struggle to get
through. Just an average chance.

2 Know How Skeleton, trained by Chili King Stables
Just behind Western Ideal in The Sullivan Stakes he had run pretty well in tough company
before that and probably has a similar chance to Western Ideal.

3 Classic Cliche, trained by Blushing meadows
Just has four races under his belt he broke his maiden last time with a very impressive
win in a small field. His dirt work times are solid so if this turns out to be his best
surface he will be right in it despite his lack of experience.

4 Spin City, trained by Maxmillion Farm
Broke maidens last time after a good fourth at Allowance level. His turf work times are
very strong but he has under achieved so far so the class factor must be taken on trust.

5 Lord Byron, trained by Jerry Garcia Racing
A good fifth in the Fountain Of Youth saw him take a crack at KYD qualification but he
failed from a wide draw in The AR Derby. We have to take his turf ability on trust but he
has one run and one win on the surface so it shouldnt be a problem. He has a touch of class
and i like his chances.

6 Show Ya Oysters, trained by Mm Racing
Had been lightly tried prior to The American Turf but ran a cracker in that very strong
race and that makes him the form choice for this contest.

7 Inverted Calibration, trained by Yahudi Stables
Claimed last time out he comes here to meet a completely untried trip. He has always
worked very strongly so this may turn out to be the answer to untap his undoubted ability.

8 Fee Fi Fo Fum, trained by Joshua Stables
Won a decent turf allowance before having a  crack at the Wood Memorial on the dirt last time.
He failed to impress in that race but comes back to his preferred surface today and whilst he has
a very good chance on his fast work times he does have the wide draw to contend with.

SUMMARY
A difficult race to call with unproven horses taking on horses with more established form it
may be best to stick with the draw bias to pick the winner. Show Ya Oysters was huge last time
and i like him to win from Lord Byron and maybe Fee Fi Fo Fum if he can overcome the draw.
