Siberian Prince Blows Them Away in Wise Dan

Wise Dan – Grade II
1 1/16 Mile Turf Stake Purse $200.000 Open 3 Year Olds And Up.

1st Siberian Prince Sir Daniel Martin Hernandez B J Jr

Some criticism was levelled at me for saying the weather would decide this race but its pretty clear this excellent gelding wouldnt have got this dominant win had the rains come in any way this weekend. Comparing his poor run in the PEN Mile last time to this performance was evidence once again that HRP deals very heavily with track condition preferences and i doubt this one could win a cheap claimer in the mud at HRP. But with the sun on his back today he was back to his BC winning best always having too many guns for his rivals. It will be great to see him in November on a fast track.

Proof number two for what i had just said about Siberian prince and the ground conditions this one was beaten out of sight last time on soft ground but ran a cracker today coming from off the pace which was virtually impossible on todays track to share second spot. A much improved sort who will be a serious contender with the three year old weight allowance in the stakes race this summer.

2nd Private Sector Allinthegate Albarado R J

He did super well considering he was a four year old and giving so much weight to the three year olds. Keeping on very gamely he got a share of second and beat some very nice horses to boot.

Ditto for this seven year old who not only had the weight to give away but the wide draw to cope with as well. Fortunately for him the track was playing to pace so the wide gate speed push worked to his advantage and he battled on pretty bravely for the last paying place.
