Sitting Bulls Champ Cruises Wire-to-Wire in Great Lady M Stakes

Great Lady M Stakes
6 1/2 Furlongs on Dirt Grade 2
Purse $200.00 For Fillies And Mares Three Years Old And Upward
Los Alamitos Race Course Los Alamitos, California

Sitting Bulls Champ from Mb Stables, as expected, was as short a price as she could be, and as expected made The Great Lady M Stakes into not much more than a public workout. “Champ” hustled for the lead and then was taken under a strong hold while cruising gate to wire in front of a packed 4th of July crowd. Congrats to the winning connections. It will be interesting how she comes out of this and where she ends up next. Illusionary State from Nakamura Stables was unable to get to the lead as projected, but after being forced into a three wide trip she ran a big effort to nail down the silver medal here. The three year old filly has some heart and she will be a better racehorse after trying this run-a-way winner. Pride Cometh from Mo Mentum Farm surged late to grab the last spot in the trifecta. She continues to throw down all the way to the wire in a better than looked effort, as most horses, especially fillies and mares, would have just cruised to the wire under these circumstances.

Of The Rest;

Reflex Action from The Sidley Stud sat right in the catbird seat, as expected, but had no answers today as she tired and had to settle for forth place in a disappointing effort after getting the perfect trip.

Shes All I Need from TwinTowers Racing broke last and stayed in that position throughout, unable to make any impact today.
