1 MTH The Eatontown Stakes (GIII)
$150.000 3yo&Up F&M 1 1/16m Turf 3yo 118 Older 124 +penalties
A six pack of ladies are headed to the gate on Sunday and we look at the field for The Eatontown (GIII) and I think Green Shadow is the horse to beat here today. She loves the grass, loves the distance, never seems to run a bad race and looks ready to fire big in this one. Let’s give Delinquent Assembly a big shot as well. She’s another that just never seems to throw a bad one and runs well on just about any surface.
Here’s The Field –
|
Brits Calm | Lemax Farms | Gallardo A A | 124 | 5/1 |
Taken for a mere $8.000 and has stepped up in a big way. Won at first asking for the new barn taking down OptAlw at TAM, and has been on the board in two stakes races since the hostile takeover. The only questionable race was on the soft turf so if it rains, run away.
|
Party In The Brig | Mo Mentum Farm | Diaz H R Jr | 118 | 8/1 |
Very consistent type but was third facing graded both last out and at OP back in Feb. She always seems to be right in the thick of it so you have to give her a big shot when she loads in the gate. May come with some odds and could be nice on the bottom end of exacta and tri tickets.
|
Green Shadow | Delta Farms | Ferrer J C | 124 | 5/2 |
Does this horse ever run a bad race? Sure doesn’t seem like it… has won three of her last six and was second in the other races, so certainly no reason to think that she will run a bad one here. This is a step up in class but she just seem to keep getting the job done and I would stand by the same plan here today.
|
Decima Divo | TwinTowersRacing | Morales P | 124 | 4/1 |
Two thirds this year from her five starts, one of those from the stakes ranks, but there have been some not so great races sprinkled in there as well. Her best would make her competitive with this group, but I’m just not sure her best will be enough to get it done with these.
|
Angel Shark | John Henry | Lopez P | 124 | 8/1 |
Four consecutive off-the-board starts since winning at DMR back in NOV to close out her ’20 season. She’s put quite a bit of money in the bank over the years but it looks like it may be time for this one to head off to the breeding shed. I’m usually wrong, so maybe she wins by four.
|
Delinquent Assembly | Nakamura Stables | Vargas J A Jr | 124 | 3/1 |
Another very consistent mare that has been right there for… well, it seems like forever. Second last out at BEL on a good turf course while facing black type horses so I’d give her a big shot here today as well.
