Sophomore Sod Fillies Chase Big Payday in Appalachian at KEE

4/6/2024

   3   KEE  Appalachian (GII)
$400.000     3yoF     1m  Turf     120lbs

Day two of the KEE Spring Meet and it just don’t get no better than this… what a loaded field for the Appalachian (GII), a flat mile turf test for the sophomore sod ladies, and as much as I use “open” in these races, this race really could go a number of ways, and I may change the selections after watching the Friday races.

The Green Card says to take Acqua, fresh off of that FL Oaks (GIII) win.  She’s  back on short rest, which I’m certainly not a fan of, but we are rockin‘ what the Green Card delivers, so she gets top billing today.

Dont Mind A Dime went fast in that China Doll win on the SA sod, so I can see the “like” in her.  That was a second faster than her fourth place finish in the CAC Oaks, so she seems to be getting better and that could spell bad news for these.

Wonderful World has won three of four, and her off the board race was in the BC Juv Fillies Turf (GI) where she closed a late gap, only to return and win the Sweet Chant (GIII) at GP, so you know she’s on her toes and ready to go.

We’ve skipped the Mb Stables duo and End Of The Devil looks to be any type, but you can’t pick em all, so let’s see how the Green Card does in this one.
