Spin the Wheel to Find the Winner in The Spinaway

The Spinaway – Grade I [BC]
SAR   Race #14   7f   Dirt   Graded Stake
Purse $350.000  For Fillies Two Years Old.

1  Grayte Crack    Estero Farms    Gallardo A A

Ran like this extra furlong will suit when beaten a length into fifth in the Schuylerville last time and on that form is expected to once again finish in a heap with those that were in front of her that day. There really is so little between most of these runners that a little racing luck will go a long way and if she can get the stalk from the inside box she stands as good a chance as any.

2  Artificial    Mb Stables    Ortiz I Jr

campaigned in high end maidens she got her win at SAR last time and with works times right in the ball park will be expected to run well today. The perfect draw will help and this trip will suit.

3  Silk Tree    Alydar Stables    Esquivel E

Won on debut and has run three solid races in black type company since. Third in the Schuylerville puts her right in the ruck with most of these runners and i guess the only two things that may be against her will be the seven furlongs and any moisture.

4  Love Struck Baby   D J C Racing Stables   Velazquez J R

Not many manage three from three but when you look at this ones form its easy to see that that could have easily been three seconds as her biggest win of the three was by a head. There is no doubt this daughter of Mr Creepy has plenty of racing heart, that invisible power boost peculiar to HRP, but that is certainly worth taking into account when you weigh up this sort of race.  Her raceday form is better than her works but she beat most of these in the Schuylerville last time so has every chance of doing so again.

5  Systematically    Oquinn Farm    Bravo J

Claimed from a nine dollar maiden claimer in June she ran a good race in an allowance at SAR last time proving she is much better than a claimer. The way she runs and her works suggest she will like this trip and to be honest it is hard to write her off.

6  Twist Green    Williams9    Franco G

Of all the entries this one looks atleast one that we can write off. Which f course means it will probably win! Two good efforts in the My Dear and CTBA Stakes give her a fighting chance but her works suggest she has a bit to find with some of these.

7  First Impression    Mb Stables    Bejarano R

Cleared her maiden at SAR with an all the way win over six furlongs from a wide gate she is working the sort of times that put her under the blanket that could be thrown over most of these runners. We wont really know hoe good she is until after this race.

8  Make You Blush    Rampage Stable    Rosario J

Sixth but only beaten a length in the Schuylerville she is another that could easily turn that around with a  bit of racing luck and an extra furlong. The wide gate will make it tough for her but like all the others she has a chance.

9  Good For Nowt    Diablo Diablo    Ortiz J L

Took her maiden win at WO but was a little disappointing in the Debutante last time and whilst her works put her right in the firing line the wide draw and that dissapointing run make me want to watch how she goes today.

10  Z Command    Joshua Stables    Albarado R J

Fourth beaten a length in the Schuylerville as favourite last time she had previously destroyed a good maiden field by six lengths. The fastest worker in the field but the widest drawn so her only hope is a track bias or some racing luck.

SUMMARY

I must apologise about this write up because it does all read a bit vague and samey but to be honest with most of the horses finishing within a length of each other in the Schuylerville, all working within a few tenths of each other and all with good wining form it is almost impossible to suggest any differences between them all. As for the winner, well stick your pin in with me.
