Spotted Cat Proves His True Ability at Last

HOL Derby – Grade I
1 1/8 Mile Turf Stake Purse $300.000 Open 3 Year Olds.

1st Spotted Cat, trained by Blushing Meadows
We finally saw what this horse is capable of today as he stromed home with
probably the easiest grade one win of the year. Hopefully it wasnt the muddy
conditions that got him home and that is the reason he has been the nearly
horse all year but i see no reason that is the case i cant wait to see if
he grows into a stronger four year old.

2nd Bad Mouth, trained by Heavens Own
made the running but was easily blown away by the winner. This wasnt a bad effort
though and made the price tage a little better at least.

3rd Mucho Black, trained by Nakamura Stables
Made all for a good win last time and today was taken back and never really got
closer than third. Lets hope the only reason for the difference in those runs
wasnt the wide draw compared to a mid pack draw today.

4th Sandor Clegane, trained by Smithstown Stables
This horse clearly hates the soft. Second in the BC turf mile last time and a
very weak fourth today. Going or random, you will make your own choice as to
the reason.

5th Full Of Trinity
beaten a long way

6th Officer Outcast
Fell away for a very distant last and must really hate rain.
