8 GP CC Distaff Dash
$110.000 5f Turf 3yo&Up F&M 3yo 120lbs Older 123lbs + penalties
The CC Distaff Dash looks to be a speed demons meeting – and that’s just
what we wanted. The turf sprint is loaded with horses that regularly
put up suicidal fractions and that should make this one a humdinger.
I’m leaning on Pink Kitten to get the job done today. She has been
solid as a rock vs. stakes company since being taken out of that $16.000
claimer, and this looks like a place for her to shine and get the job
done. I’ll put Miz Evil Five Phooey under her in my big exactas,
and she looked fancy winning that stakes at DMR in wire-to-wire fashion.

She sold via the Sep auction then was claimed last out when winning at
PRX at the $12.500 level. They go big game hunting right after the
hostile takeover and if she can run back to her early year form where she
was winning Alw races at CD then she could be a factor in this one.

Solid race last out when third beaten a length vs. stakes horses at
PRX. That was a nice group of horses and she had nothing to be
ashamed of out of that one. Tagged for just $10.000 after breaking
maiden at SA, she shows three wins this year and has been on the board in
seven of eight starts. She certainly can be a late factor today.

It’s been an up-and-down year for this one. She’s been racing in
lower end claiming races and has been excelling at those levels, but was
six vs. $6.250 claimers at CT in her most recent. They move her from
dirt to turf today and she does show a single win from five lawn tries.

Claimed out of that last out win and that gave her back to back wins over
turf sprints. She’s been a very consistent type hitting the board in
seven of nine starts, eight of those coming on the green stuff. If
she can maintain her current form, I’d expect her to be in the thick of
things.

Six wins from her ten ’19 starts, it doesn’t take a bunch of handicapping
to realize this one can run. Both of her stakes starts have been
less than perfect, but I think she can fire a big shot here and perhaps
come home with the big prize.

Very solid outings since being haltered for $16.000 back in April.
On the board in a couple of graded races and was right there last out in a
VERY fast stakes at SA. If she can just hold form and get a clean
trip, she is going to be tough to get past.

Changed hands in back-to-back races and looked good taking that starter
race across I95 in her most recent. Three wins and a pair of thirds
from her seven ’19 efforts and she may be a horse that is actually getting
better. She has speed, now let’s see if she can get it done.

Sharp claim two back for $20.000 and proved a smart buy when going
wire-to-wire in the Grable at DMR last out. She’s been a solid
sprinter throughout her 29 race career and looks to punch the ticket again
today. Like a Timex, she just keeps ticking… don’t leave her
off of your mutuals.

Got a bit weary late in the Maddy (GIII) at SA in her most recent.
She has two wins this season, love the speed, loves the grass and has been
a solid performer all of her career. If she can continue to find the
magic, I’d expect her to be tough again today.

Diamonds for a name, speed is her game. When the gate opens, she
sure does love to get the game started right away and from this post
there’s no reason to think otherwise for this one. Snagged for
$20.000 prior to that last start, they tried a route and now come back to
the sprint. She’s a horse that may have some odds but should be
tough.

One win this season and has been backing up in the late stages of
races. Shortens up, which could help, but the post does not favors
and she will need a bit of racing luck to be a figure today. She
certainly has the splits, now can she finish out?
