If you stuck to the horses with wet track success, you did well for yourself in the Chorleywood Stakes on Saturday. It still took the entire mile and three eighths to derive a winner, but when they hit the wire, The Sidley Stud took home the lion’s share as Tech App takes the win in this one. He now has a 3-1-1 record from five wet track efforts, and the 4yo bay gelding landed his fourth win of the ’25 season, sixth lifetime win and now has $194.790 in lifetime earnings. That’s also back-to-back wet track victories for this one. Congrats to the Connections!
Team 7 Illusions’ Double Jump, a nearly 40/1 outsider, had the lead in the late stages, but could not hold off the surge that the winner brought, despite having a wet win, as well. Still, nothing wrong with a neck- back runner-up effort at those odds… Lord Cherokee from the Threshold outfit was closing down the outside but just couldn’t get there, ending up a head back, in third, then a half-length to TwinTowersRacing’s Back Class in fourth. Eight lengths covered the field of six and there were no exclusions in this one.
