The Twin Spires of CD is the venue, and a fine group of eight ladies set to go the extended sprint distance of seven furlongs in the Chicago Stakes (GII).  As I always say, this one begins and ends with a single name… Lady Sammyantha.  She ran her win streak to seven, and eight of her last nine, taking the Derby City (GI) over this exact same surface/distance, last out, on KYD weekend.  She adores this distance and continues to be the best female sprinter going, right now.  So, if the top selection was so dang’ed easy, who goes on the bottom of the ticket?  I’m taking Lille, as she was second to the monster in that Derby City (GI) race, so why mess with a good thing.  She had a successful career under the Smokey Stover then moved at the Great Yard Sale, only to move again prior to that runner-up effort… second start for the new barn, I’d guess she will be tough.

It’s a talented group, but you can’t pick’em all… although you can pick’em a few days after the race!!
