The Mb Stables of TX racing Luz Inetrnational goes with 50% of the field here and this great supporter of the TX statebred scene has a real chance of taking home the pie here. Lets have a look at how the six two year olds line up in a race that will give one of them a little foot hold on BC qualification.
1 Chappy Broken Spoke Stables Elliott S
The TX Stallion – Avenger is the key form race for this with the first three doing battle again. This gelding draws the same gate and the same jockey as they did in that race and he ended up a game half length second to Back To Paradise. A half length can be made up five yards out of the gate here at HRP so he must go into the hopper again as a good chance to go one better. His work since suggests he is doing well.
2 Vintage Vinyl Luz International Eramia R E
He was an eye catching third in that Avenger race and again runs from the same gate but interestingly and a bit controversially Lane Luzzi jumps off his doppelgangers horse to ride for a rival stable. The extra half furlong will suit and if her trainer can get her to muster a bit more early pace she could easily turn it round with the first two.
3 My Bling Luz International Vazquez R A
Won his maiden over this trip last time and on this course so we should expect a solid effort today. It is hard to see how he has progressed as he hasn’t worked publicly since before his debut but on face value at least you would expect his stablemates to fare better.
4 Aggrivated Bandit Blue Ridge Racing Cabrera D
You can never knock a horse that wins their maiden by six lengths even if it was at LAD and i think this one may be a bit of a sleeper to spoil the party.
5 Crawdaddy Captain Woogaloo Luzzi L J
There will be banter aplenty if this maiden who is ridden by Lane Luzzi can beat the three Luz International runners. Pre – race he was working well and showed plenty of speed for a long way in his debut run so this will be an intriguing entry.
6 Back To Paradise Luz International Quinonez L S
Raced from the outside gate to beat the two horses that are drawn the same again today, for a random draw that is very consistent. I wonder of the form will be as consistent and this unbeaten colt will once again beat his rivals to go three from three. He is another that hasn’t worked since before his debut but it is clear in his form that he is very good. The draw will be key again here.
SUMMARY
Wow, try and pick the winner of this race with any clarity and it will make a fool of you. The obvious choice is Back To paradise as he has done it all before but i am wary of the improvement that Crawdaddy Captain may show after his debut.
