The Belle Tolls in San Clemente Stakes

San Clemente Stakes – Grade II
1 Mile Turf Stake Purse $150.000 Filly 3 Year Olds.

1st The Belle Tolls Allinthegate Franco G

Well i have long said that the racing surface means very little to the HRP digital horses but though this was clearly the best horse in the race it had to overcome a wide draw to once again prove that point. Bouncing to the lead thanks to the wide gate speed push she went very fast early and whilst that is normally the kiss of death for a front runner she was that superior that she was never challenged and pulled away for an easy win. She did the same when drawn wide in the Schuylerville and very nearly won the Starlet with the outside speed push so whilst the odds suggested this was unexpected the fact remains that she was just too good for this field.

This was an impressive win and she won like a horse with a turf preference but i think she is just very good and i wouldn’t be writing her off if she goes back to the dirt next time.

2nd Czarina La Canada Racehorses Valdivia J Jr

The Eatontown winner followed the pace but just whacked away at the one pace and just found a very good filly today.

3rd Shalakar John Henry Maldonado E

Stayed on well for third but never really threatened, this wasn’t a bad effort for a filly that was running in claimers at the start of the year.

4th Shes A Native Mb Stables Pereira T J

Was fourth after a quarter and fourth after the mile which sort of sums up this effort.
