Purse $200.000 (plus up to $30.00 for NY-breds) For Fillies And Mares Four Years Old And Upward.

1 Forever Blue Mb Stables Beschizza A

Draws the inside which is never a bad place to be in a sprint but comes up against a tough field of older fillies and may struggle. She is held by her stable mate and one gets the feeling this may be the start of a revival in form or the end of a career. Still working fast enough but may be doing the donkey work for her more fancied stable runner.

2 Four Left Feet Mb Stables Lezcano J

Draws the perfect gate to run her favored race she has always promised a little more than she has delivered but gets the perfect chance to add to her achievements. The winner of seven from ten on turf this may end up being her best surface but like most good horses at HRP she can do all right on either.

3 Coastal Flower Nolespan Racing Garcia Mar

Only at HRP do we see horses running a close fourth in 10 furlong races dropping back to half that and still having a decent chance. This is one of the stables super claims and has won seven races over sprint trips so who knows this could be another for the yard with the midas touch.

4 Diamond Tiara Wood Duck Stables Bejarano R

Another who has been running over longer trips she comes right back again today and gets a decent draw. She dropped from 12 furlongs to six last time to storm home in the License Fee only a length off of Four Left Feet so with a better gate today there is no reason she can’t get close again.

5 Royal Kunia Smokey Stover Tunon M

The winner of ten from sixteen she was third in the BC Sprint last year but hasn’t been seen in a graded stakes since. She has plenty of talent and goes again with every chance in the usual open contest.

6 Yours Forever John Henry Velazquez J

Flew home from a wide draw to be beaten a head in the License Fee last time putting her right in the race with pretty much the same chance as anything else. That last run was probably her best of the season so she could be coming back to form at the right time.

7 Chais Princess Maxmillion Farm Davis D

Another router dropping back she worked very sharply on this track recently and has graded stakes winning form albeit over longer trips. She has been dogged with inconsistency but grows a leg in the wet so her trainer will be doing a rain dance with this wide gate.

8 Catch That Bear Lila Patterson Stables Alvarado J

She has always looked like she could be a stakes horse but has been racing over all sorts of trips and surfaces so its hard to get a line on her. The wide gate will make it tricky for her and although she may not be as good as some of these on paper you can’t write her off.

SUMMARY

This is another one of those races where everything s working within a tick of each other and most horses have form that puts the within a length of every runner. So as usual it will be close and as usual it will make no difference whether the horses are routers or sprinters. That being said i am going for the experience of Mb Stables of coming out on top in these types of contests and i think Four Left Feet has the draw to get all favors.
