Even handicapping all the three year olds with the widest draws couldn’t stop one and this was the one that came out on top today. Getting a stalk early he soon went up to dispute the lead and toughed it out to the line for a very game half length win. The wide draw did him no harm today something i have seen a bit of recently. Maybe that’s players instructions or just the luck of the draw we will never know but you can’t take anything away from this gutsy win. Now a winner of four from nine he looks poised to move up to graded level.

Made a fight of it for the older horses taking on the wide speed through the early part of the race and then keeping on to hold second after an extended battle with the winner. In the end the extra weight told but this was a good effort especially as he raced a completely different race than he had in the past few efforts.
He may well be worth following early next year as a five year old.

3rd Maybe Tonight Alydar Stables Franco G

Speed held off a steady pace today and the first three were in that order for most of this race. This one worked hard in the stalk and kept on well enough for third but off a favorable draw he may find it hard to do this again.

4th Smoking Makes You Il Night Rider Stables Fuentes Ru

The first of the closer’s he wasn’t suited by the average pace and got going far too late. As a plus for the trainer he would’ve probably won if the race was 9 furlongs so all is not lost just yet.
