The Forego Goes to Kiss The Snake

The Forego – Grade I
7 Furlongs Dirt Stake Purse $600.000 Open 3 Year Olds And Up.

1st Kiss The Snake Nakamura Stables Talamo J

With the last horse only beaten three lengths this turned into the Calvary charge we expected and it took the experience of this five year old to tough it out for the win. This was a great race for the wide draws as they dominated the finish but this one managed to secure a run at the right time and forced his head in front where it mattered. Another that was raced by an experienced trainer as a router that has turned out to be a sprinter after all he certainly proved once again that trips, surface and most other things dont matter to good horses at HRP. Unbeaten over a sprint trip this year he will march on to the BC a dual grade one winner and ready to do the business.

2nd Con Artist Mb Stables Beschizza A

Back to form over his pet trip he flew home from deep on the track but just got out muscled in the end. After plenty of goes at longer trip this certainly seems to be his trip and if the trainer can find one for him i am pretty sure he will be in the running for sprint honors in November.

3rd Along For The Ride Fractious Bejarano R

Closed hard from way back he ran a cracker considering his trip and was only beaten a quarter length in the end. Another that seems to specialize in this trip he is proving a model of consistency this year.

4th Shanghai Days Night Rider Stables Maragh Ro

This former claimer ran a great race to close into fourth just a half length behind. Consider where he was this time last year this is another huge performance and one that will make him a shoe in for the claimer series if he takes that path.
