Well the name says it all as the wizard Mb got this one closer to the pace today and she finally lived up to her 2017 DED Princess form. Closing late in both her last starts it was the instruction that worked today and she won by a fairly cosey length from a close midpack run. If she can get this close to the pace in the KYO she will be a live chance.

2nd   Ivanka                Winning Link Stables   Geroux F  1:42.14
Suffered a 4 length turn round on her Las Virgenes win but ran a solid race in defeat and will go to the KYO a good each way chance. She may improve a little as it was over 8 weeks since that last start and her trainers patience may yet pay off in the big one.

3rd   Gabrielle                Alydar Stables      Gallardo A A   1:42.28
Stalked the lead and kept on well enough without really quickening for third. This was a much better effort after her weak run in the Honeybee and it will be interesting to see how she does if she gets a better draw.

4th   Too Much Wisdom  Mb Stables      Ortiz I Jr   1:42.35
It seems this race was only two lengths better than a one win TUP allowance as this filly stayed on into fourth. She clearly is a lot better than the grade she has been running in but how much better we will have to wait and see.
