Generally there seems to be two stables here that if they get a great draw then you rarely have to look elsewhere for the winner. It was always going to be down to the three year old weight allowance and whilst it isn’t as bad as it has been when a good horse is working better times than most of their older rivals and getting weight it is pretty much a foregone conclusion. It couldn’t have gone better for this gelding stalking the lead and coming away for a fairly straight forward win. How good he is, well we will have to wait and see but with his work times there are plenty more good wins to come.

2nd= Champion In Action Night Rider Stables Geroux F

Flew home from a long way back to dead heat for second in what was a decent enough run after his last race disappointment. The pace wasn’t quite quick enough over this trip to see him taking the winner but there seems to be a few miles left in the old clock.

2nd= Speter Nakamura Stables Murrill M

Had a bad start and had to work hard to recover and that certainly would’ve blunted his finish especially battling against the three year old weight allowance. A faster start would have seen him much close, would he have won? well i am not sure but it certainly would’ve been a much tighter finish.

A little one paced again at this level but stuck to his guns as usual.
