The Natural came out of the gate second, but by the first call, he was in control. The five-year-old gelding led by as much as two lengths and won by ¾ length on yielding turf, fending off a challenge from Buffalo G who tracked the winner every step of the way.

2 Buffalo G (Nakamura Stables) Stalked the pace and made a run late for second.

3 Champion In Action (Night Rider Stables) Made a late run for third.

4 Show Me How To Live (Mo Mentum Farm) Challenged the pace early, then faded to fourth.

5 Lantern Yard (Avenue Z) Trailed by as many as ten lengths, managed to get up for fifth.

6 Dreams Of Men (Maxmillion Farm) Lost ground to finish sixth.

7 Outdated (Threshold) Never a factor.

8 Blue Koala (D J C Racing Stables) Never a factor.
