The Old Man o War Gets Thanks For Nothing Home

The Man o War – Grade I
1 3/8 Mile Inner Turf Stake Purse $700.000 Open 4 Year Olds And Up.

1st Thanks For Nothing D J C Racing Stables Bejarano R

At odds of over 300/1 some would say this was a shock victory but at the end of the day there are no favorites and no outsiders in these types of races any more. Only a length behind Chayse in the Pan American last time he got his revenge today over that horse, as for the reasons why….well, lets just say he was due. Keep putting good horses in good races and eventually they win thats a mantra that DJC Racing Stables lives by and it seems the old saying you have to be in it to win it is alive and well here at HRP.
This five year old has always looked like he had a win like this in him it just took DJC’s patience to get him there in the end. There is no reason he couldn’t be right in it come November but there is also no reason he could so i guess we just have to wait and see how the rest of his season unfolds.

2nd Chayse Crocker Ggs Franco G

Ran a very similar race to the one which saw him victorious in the Pan American last time but this time with a furlong less his big late run didn’t arrive in time. He lost nothing in defeat and will renew his rivalry with most of this field at least once more this season and if he gets the full 12 furlongs i think he can get back to winning ways.

3rd Raj Action Packed Arindel Gaffalione T

Another great effort from another terrible draw i can’t wait for this one to get an inside draw because he will be very hard to beat on this evidence. Maybe that inside draw will come in the BC, maybe it wont but when it does i will be pushing my Disney Dollars all in on him.

4th Hollywood Niner Nolespan Racing Garcia Mar

Another great example of the trainers ability to spot good horses in claimers or another good example that there is a huge hole in our class system? I think this is another case of a bit of both, certainly Nolespan the king of the claimers, does it more than most so its not down to chance and this looks another great acquisition from the trainer.
