Well sometimes HRP, just like real life, can seem random and unpredictable but here we had a race that pretty much went exactly as expected. The only thing that seemed a little strange was how hard the winner went out considering she was always going to get a soft lead but that aside the running styles and the draws all worked and this was pretty much as dull a race as any four horse field can be.
Here is how they finished:

1st Always Condottieri Maletto Ferrer J C

An early jockey that has a fillies preference running from the rail on a horse that likes to be on speed, it really was no surprise that this one was in the lead from the gate. Considering she had an uncontested lead she ran sectionals that seemed needlessly fast but she always had too many guns for her rivals and ran out a facile one length winner. The only thing we were left scratching our head about is how she ran last time out and the four length turnaround with the runner up, but hey if there had to be a random thrown in it was probably that last race.

2nd Zalinda Threshold Bravo J

Ran wide throughout for some strange reason as it seems the AI was determined to see her run just that little bit further than the winner giving away far more than a length round the two turns. But at the end of the day she was always second best today and did well enough to plug home for second running home predictably too late.

3rd Certain Latte Night Rider Stables Lopez P

Sat with the other three lined abreast letting the winner dictate and could never really get into the race with a chance. A decent enough third in the end was probably the best she could’ve hoped for.

4th Fangs Of The Storm Arindel Gutierrez Mario

She is definitely struggling through this season after such a strong three year old year but that often happens with the good three year olds and she was pretty lack lustre again today. If given the chance she may be OK as a five year old as can sometimes happen but she also looks like she might make a good broodmare so the trainer has some decisions to make.
