San Francisco Mile May Go to Three-Year-Old

San Francisco Mile – Grade III
GG   Race #7   1m   Turf   Graded Stake
Purse $100.000  For Three Year Olds And Upward.

1 Rare Coincidence, trained by Mb Stables
An interesting entry, a three year old with three wins out if four he shouldnt
have much of a chance against these older and more experienced horses. The key
thing that makes his chance look plausible however is that he hails from Mb
Stables who has such a lot of horses with so much ability that it may be that
this son of Chai Latte is about to join his many many stable stars.

2 You Big Freak, trained by Hawaiian Shirt Guy
A four year old multiple graded stakes winner that recently run triple digit
speed figures in being runner up in a grade two handicap. He is in top form
and is working well, drawn well and in with a  decent chance today.

3 Chapter In The Fog, trained by Maxmillion Farm
A consistent four year old who has run well enough in black type to date to
give him a good chance in an even looking field. He is working well and won
a decent overnight in a good race time last out.

4 Sno Bro, trained by Manco Segundo
A very lightly raced four year old with only one win to his name you wouldnt
normally give him a chance in this class. BUT his last work was a one twenty
one and 4 seven furlong beauty and you would have to be worried if he can put
that sort of pace into this one miler.

5 Eve Of Destruction, trained by Emerald Racing Inc
This six year old grade one winner may be in his autumn years but his two efforts
this year have been OK and he deserves respect. His works arent bad but he may find
this mile a little sharp.

6 Seattle General, trained by Spankys Barn
A nice sort who has yet to realise his potential although he has managed 7 wins
and an ungraded stakes. Normally a sprinter he ran pretty well over a route trip
last time but i still worry that this may be too far.

7 Two Brushes, trained by Drabfantasy
Well if you though the other three year old in this race was lacking in experience
then this one looks a veritable puppy. His two races have seen a maiden win and
then a super second in the grade three Transylvania Stakes last time out. I like
this one a lot but it would be a tough ask to beat the older horses in April.

8 Jubilant Outburst, trained by Santan Stables
A five year old with some good form he has struggled a little to break through in
this class. There is not doubt he has ability though and if he can overcome the widish
draw he may get some of the purse.

9 Breiterate, trained by Asgar
A grade one winning six year old he has won the most purse money in this field but
is stuck with a wide draw and form figures that are spelling out that he is past his best. Well
beaten in the BC Turf last year his seasonal debut was only fair and whilst his home
work times are holding up you have to worry about his declining form.

10 Michelangelo, trained by Blushing Meadows
Drawn in the car park this lightly raced four year old would have a better chance with
a better draw but he may not be good enough from here.

SUMMARY
As crazy as this sounds this may between the two three year olds and it would spell
trouble for the older horses if the threes started winning in April. The more i look at
the work times however and put those with the seven pound weight pull the more i like
their chances. Chapter In The fog and You Big Freak look the best of the olders and the
dark horse may be Sno Bro.
