A Storm Arrives in The PIM Special

The PIM Special – Grade III
1 3/16 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $300.000 Open 3 Year Olds And Up.

1st A Storm Has Arrived Maxmillion Farm Bejarano R

This stable just cannot do anything wrong at the moment and this improving five year old got away with some comfortable splits to just last home as his legs gave way in the final furlong. A confirmed front runner he didnt have to work too hard in the lead which was the key to winning this race and as he turned the screw around halfway he caught them all napping and stole the race. All the time there is this myth that front runners cant win at HRP this horse will keep on winning although i suspect he may struggle at this trip with a faster pace in future. A good winner who just keeps improving it will be interesting to see where is at come November.

2nd Zombie City Eastern Equine Gaffalione T

Still without a win since being bought for over $1K he wont get much closer than this going down by just a nose in the run to the wire. Sitting just off the pace maker he got a bit caught out when the winner slipped the field but ran on strongly and it surely wont be long before this four year old repays a big chuck of his purchase price.

3rd Final Verse Mb Stables Beschizza A

Even the weight pull couldnt help this horse who tried hard but was never going to get near the first two. This is a three year old that has never won in black type class so we must put this run in perspective, he did very well for a horse running against some proven older routers and i dont think his season is over just yet.

4th Snakie Authorization Barcelona Farms Contreras L

Came from furthest back off a very average pace so it was always going to be a struggle to make ground. He stayed on well enough but couldnt quicken but lets not forget this was only his fifth career start and he will certainly keep improving.
