For Three Years Old Foaled in Canada

Going Seven Furlongs on the Dirt Course

Purse $150.000

at Woodbine

1   Fear The Tree            Owner: Alydar Stables                         Boulanger G

Showed nothing in the recent Florida Derby Grade I at Gulfstream Park.  When he faced Grade II company in the Swale Stakes and the Holy Bull he finished off the board.  His only career win came in December as a two year old at Gulfstream Park at today’s distance breaking his Maiden.

2   Honey Badger          Owner: Maverick Racing                    McAleney J S

As a two year old he won the Frost King Stakes here at Woodbine in November of last year.  Since then he has been winless.  His last effort was against Allowance company at Gulfstream Park for a purse of $37.00 where he finished third.  Has an uphill battle today.

3   President Ebola       Owner: Team 7 Illusions                    Rainford M

Only made one debut in 2014 as a two year old.  In that effort he finished sixth.  In April this year he broke his Maiden here at Woodbine against State Breds.  That win was over today’s distance.  He is hoping on catching a break here, and looking to pop his cherry in Stakes company.

4   Cowboy Nightmare  Owner: Chili King Stables              Wilson E J

Took five starts to break his Maiden against Maiden Claimers for $25.000 here in April going six and a half furlongs on the dirt course.  Since his gelding he has hit the board in every start.  His speed figures have not been impressive, so this will be a true test of his ability.

5   Mr Relko                     Owner: BomBay Stables                    Bahen S R

One win in six starts.  Won wire to wire as a two year old in September at FP.  That win was over a mile.  Out of the other five starts he has two seconds, one is from an Optional Claimer $25.000 Non Winners of 2 races.  The other race was an Allowance of $25.000.  He has been all over the map as for distance.  Now that he is finally settling down to a distance, this might be what he needs to get his next win.

6   Excitable Boy             Owner: Pan Farms                             Garcia Alan

Sold on April 21 by Sanny Village for $102.750 after he finished sixth in the Grade III Sprial.  Coronation Futurity was a State Bred for Ontario horses in November of last year and he finished second in this four horse field.  I like that he has been facing stakes company.
